So far, I've maintained a passing average in my calculus class thanks to Martin. We've covered almost all aspects of first semester calculus. All of these aspects are more comprehensible with Martin's assistance. I highly recommend Martin if someone wants a head start in mathematics, especially calculus.

Tutoring is less hassle than teaching, as while teaching, a large portion of your time is spent on bureaucratic tasks that do nothing to help students learn. With tutoring, the tutor gets to work one on one with students, and develop more of a personal relationship with each of his or her students than a teacher who is dealing with several classes of 30-35 students throughout the day.

I scored 800 (highest possible score) on the College Board's Mathematics Level 2 achievement test, which covers all of pre-calculus mathematics. More recently, to become employed at Mathnasium, I had to pass another rigorous mathematics exam, which also covered all of pre-calculus math, and scored, according to the franchisee, the second or third highest score out of over 700 people who had taken the test. I graduated from Western Governors University in September 2021 with a degree in secondary mathematics education. For that degree, I had to pass courses in calculus (as well as lower mathematics), as well as several courses in pedagogy.

I am more suited to tutoring students a long distance away, online, to take advantage of the time difference between Santa Ana and, say, Chicago or Miami. I would only be able to tutor students in person if they are not in school during the hours that I am not working at Mathnasium, or available on weekends, and within 15 or so miles of Santa Ana.

Knowledge, patient and flexible

Martin has been a tremendous help to my high school junior, who is currently taking AP Calculus AB. He has helped her understand new concepts and successfully complete assignments. Even after their very first session, we saw an increase in her confidence which led to a high A test score. She works with him weekly.

Great and Knowledgeable Tutor

Flexible tutor who works effectively within a time frame and does not waste your time. He knows how to identify problems in the moment even if he is unfamiliar with them and proves that he knows exactly what it means to tutor and that you walk away with more confidence. Explains things in a very nice way, and will go through problems step by step if need be.
