Here Are The Biggest Video Game Releases Of November 2023 (2024)

The past few months have been absolutely stacked with huge video game releases across the three major consoles. The likes of Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, Spider-Man 2, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder have all been released within two months, so there's already plenty to keep fans entertained until the end of the year.

However, 2023 shows no signs of slowing down as November, albeit not as packed as September or October, is still full of exciting game releases. These include several major third-party titles, as well as a couple of Nintendo Switch exclusives. Here are the 8 biggest video games due out in November 2023, in release date order.

Should Console Exclusives Completely Bite the Dust?

8 RoboCop: Rogue City

Coming November 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

Fans of the iconic RoboCop franchise will be excited by the upcoming release of RoboCop: Rogue City. The demo has shown huge promise and highlights the game's fun FPS gameplay alongside some new RPG elements. The new story takes place between RoboCop 2 and 3 and sees the titular half-robot, half-man police officer tackling crime in the city of Detroit.

Players have the freedom to explore the city's open-world sections to uncover clues and investigate crime however they choose. Combining abilities and weapons, and upgrading them to suit a particular playstyle, helps the game to feel unique for each player. They'll also make choices that will have an impact on the game's outcomes. The cherry on top for fans of the franchise is that Peter Weller, the original actor, is also back to voice the game's iconic protagonist. RoboCop: Rogue City looks set to be one of the month's most exciting games.

7 The Talos Principle 2

Coming November 2 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

10 Most Clever Puzzle Solutions In Video Games

The Talos Principle 2 is the sequel to 2014's narrative-based puzzle adventure. The game's story broaches numerous philosophical questions as players control a robot with a human consciousness in a world where biological humans have become extinct. Players will travel across a variety of landscapes as they unravel the story's secrets.

The gameplay is heavily puzzle-focused and includes several new puzzle types, including metapuzzles and Gold puzzles, which will pose a real challenge even for veterans of the genre. The Talos Principle 2 will also introduce new skills to expand the gameplay and unlock more ways to solve puzzles. These include the ability to control gravity and transfer consciousness to other machines. After a nine-year wait, fans of the original will be hugely excited to experience what comes next.

6 WarioWare: Move It!

Coming November 3 for Nintendo Switch

WarioWare: Move It! looks set to be a fun party game for friends and families to enjoy. Its focus is on microgames — minigames that last only a few seconds — where players use the Switch's motion controls with hilarious results. There are over 200 different games for players to enjoy.

Although the game can be enjoyed solo, as with the likes of Mario Party, it's likely best enjoyed with others. Players can buddy up in co-op mode to work together to complete the microgames, or they can enter Party Mode and go head-to-head. Either way, it looks set to be a lot of chaotic fun.

Coming November 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

What To Know About The Yakuza Timeline Before Like a Dragon Gaiden

Football Manager 2024 is the perfect game for those who enjoy the more tactical side of the world's most popular sport. The upcoming installment promises to be the most complete yet, with a host of updated features to increase the immersion and depth of the gameplay. On the pitch, player movement, ball physics, and lighting have all been improved, making the matchday experience even more realistic.

Off the field is where Football Manager comes into its own though. The upcoming title makes changes to the way managers can control set pieces, battle for transfers, and boost their players' motivation among other things, to increase the immersion and deliver a more complete experience. This addictive franchise looks set to maintain its place at the head of the sports management genre.

4 Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

Coming November 9 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

The Yakuza, or Like a Dragon, franchise can be complex for new starters given the number of main games and spin-offs that make the lore a little tricky to navigate. Although the mainline entries have moved onto a new protagonist, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name brings back the old protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu after he'd faked his death at the end of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. In this upcoming release, his identity has been uncovered so he's forced back for one final mission.

Like a Dragon Gaiden brings a fresh twist to the traditional beat 'em up gameplay by introducing a new fighting style. Players can dynamically switch between the classic Yakuza melee combat and the new gadget-orientated Agent style. With the latter, players can make use of high-tech equipment, such as electrifying bind wires, to approach combat in a new way that makes this upcoming installment a very exciting one for fans.

3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Coming November 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

Spawn is Coming to Call of Duty Warzone

Gaming's most popular FPS franchise has come under some scrutiny since it was revealed that the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was originally intended to be DLC for the previous game. It does bring with it a new campaign, though, which directly continues from the ending of the last game with Captain Price and his team tracking down the ultranationalist war criminal, Vladimir Makarov. Modern Warfare 3 will also see the return of the beloved zombie mode, so it seems there will be plenty of new content to keep fans happy.

The massively popular multiplayer modes are leaning heavily on nostalgia by modernizing all 16 launch maps from 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and adding in several new game modes. New 6v6 maps have also been promised as post-launch content. Several fan-favorite features, such as the classic minimap, map voting, and the silent movement perk also all make their return.

2 Super Mario RPG

Coming November 17 for Nintendo Switch

Super Mario fans have had an incredible ending to 2023. With Super Mario Bros. Wonder releasing to huge critical acclaim in October and Super Mario RPG releasing in November, it's a great time to be a fan of the iconic Italian plumber. Super Mario RPG is a remake of the 1996 SNES turn-based adventure, bringing with it a few new tweaks to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting for a modern audience.

Super Mario RPG's latest trailer highlighted several of these new features. These include a bigger emphasis on timed player inputs to determine the effectiveness of certain moves, as well as the addition of new super move combos. The game also allows players to return to boss fights after completing the main story, ramping up the difficulty to offer a real challenge and a high level of replayability. Super Mario RPG could be up there with the Nintendo Switch's best titles so fans of both Mario and turn-based RPGs will certainly want to check it out.

1 Persona 5 Tactica

Coming November 17 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC

Persona 5 Tactica is another spin-off from the highly-rated Persona 5. It takes place at the same time as the original game, before the events of Persona 5 Strikers. The gameplay is grid-based with a strategy focus, allowing players to combine an array of weaponry with powerful Personas to find a battle style that suits them.

The fan-favorite cast of characters makes a return as they find themselves in a new realm, controlled by a tyrannical military group known as the Legionnaires. Players must revolt against this oppressive rule and uncover the story's secrets in what promises to be an emotionally charged and exciting installment in one of the genre's greatest franchises.
